Chairman of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the Prime Minister has made it clear that no agreement will be signed against the interest of the country. Speaking at a meeting of the Standing Committee held at the party’s office in Tinkune on Wednesday, Chairman Nepal said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had said that no agreement would be reached against the interest of the country. He said that the Prime Minister had a clear view that he would not be the one to sign the agreement and that he would not accept any statement from Arudesh out of interest. He also said that no one was ready to sign the State Partnership Program (SPP) immediately and that there was no pressure from the United States. Chairman Nepal said that it was not necessary to talk about the misconceptions spread outside, saying that everyone’s activities should be monitored now. He said that he was ready to hold necessary discussions on the issues raised by the party if necessary.
