The month of July is considered as the month of worshiping Lord Shiva. Even in this month, Monday is considered special. In the past, Shivaji’s fast is kept on Mondays, while fasting in July is considered more important.
Today is the second Monday of July. It is believed that especially women and young women pray for the longevity of their husbands, while unmarried people pray for a good husband. Thousands of devotees visit Pashupatinath temple this month. This month is used to go to Bolbum. Women and young girls wear yellow and green clothes, fast and worship. Lately men have also started fasting to go to Bolbam. Meanwhile, on Monday, Pashupatinath also saw a crowd of devotees from early in the morning. Devotees visited Pashupati while singing the praises of Lord Shiva. After that, they celebrated Saune Monday by dancing and singing hymns in the temple premises.
