The Communist Party of Nepal (Nepal) has staged a protest in front of the MCA office in Nepal. Stating that the MCC was a traitor, the CPN (Maoist) reached Kamaladi with a procession from Shantibatika and staged a demonstration in front of the MCC office. Participants in the demonstration chanted slogans such as “No need for MCC, go back MCC”. During the protest, CPN (Maoist) central member Myla Lama accused the US of increasing its interference in Nepal after the MCC moved ahead. He expressed concern that the government was still pursuing a military agreement with the United States under various pretexts. The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has said that US intervention is not acceptable and will not allow Nepal to become Ukraine.
