MP Hridayesh Tripathi has drawn the attention of the government saying that the farmers are in trouble due to lack of manure. Speaking at a special meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he said the government had failed to provide fertilizer and farmers were in trouble. Commenting that the current budget is just an essay, Tripathi said that the government will not be able to achieve the target of agricultural production. He mentioned that paddy production would decline this year due to persistent shortage of fertilizer. He said that the mobile police was acting as a mediator. He also said that the administration’s interference in the movement of the locals to avoid the tiger attack in Bardiya was wrong. MP Krishna Bahadur Rai drew the attention of the government to manage the garbage in Kathmandu Valley. He said that the Prime Minister as well as the coalition should be serious about garbage management. He said that UML would fully support Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Sah, but that it was important for Sah to move forward with restraint. Similarly, MP Ganesh Singh Thagunna said that a single woman was set on fire in Darchula on Wednesday and demanded to arrest the culprits and take action against them.
