CPN-UML MP Pradip Kumar Gyawali has accused the government of failing to address the country’s economic crisis. During the discussion on the budget of the Fiscal Year 2079/80 BS in the House of Representatives on Thursday, Gyawali said that the budget could not be presented considering the adverse situation in the face of economic crisis in the world. Gyawali said the current government had brought more crisis by bringing both political instability and economic instability and he did not expect that. Gyawali said that the budget was an obstacle to development in the country and in some cases even sensitive. MP Gyawali said that the current government was only an election government. Similarly, Congress MP Gagan Kumar said that the program to reduce trade deficit and increase production in the budget was very good. He also stressed on the need to bring together tax evasion. MP Thapa said that the budget has come as per the priorities of the ministries and the issue of social security should be made effective. He said that transparency in budget sources should be made clear. Similarly, Maoist Center MP Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the budget for health and education was good but he could not support giving it to the health insurance company. He suggested that more attention should be paid to equitable, accessible and quality education. Similarly, MP Jeevan Ram Shrestha suggested that the budget should cover all sectors and be implemented.
