President Vidyadevi Bhandari has suggested the Public Service Commission to move ahead with reforms and development to meet the new challenges. In a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Commission, President Bhandari suggested the Public Service Commission to move forward by improving and developing it so that it can face the new challenges of the new era. He also lauded the work of connecting the online service with the citizen app by upgrading the technical infrastructure of the commission to provide its services online. He said that it was expected that it would be simple and easy for the general public to get the services of the commission. President Bhandari said that it was the responsibility of the government machinery including the civil servants of the country to make the people aware of the presence of the state by providing smooth public services and it was imperative to select the manpower accordingly. President Bhandari said that he expects the Commission to pay more attention to the training and orientation required for the development of manpower with efficient managerial capacity, honest, conscientious and thematic competencies and timely improvement in the candidate selection system. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Public Service Commission Madhav Prasad Regmi said that the examination method and technology of the answer scripts for the selection of employees would be continuously improved.
