CPN-UML MP Krishna Gopal Shrestha has been serious about the demands of the people of Sisdol and has drawn the attention of the government to manage the garbage in Kathmandu. In a meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Shrestha said that Kathmandu has been plagued by stench and garbage for a long time as the problem of garbage has not been solved. He said that the people of Kathmandu could not bear it for many days and added that garbage should be managed immediately. Shrestha demanded that the concerned minister should give an answer on the issue of waste management and the speaker should rule on it. He said that respect should be shown to the people who are patient in waste management till the election of representatives in Kathmandu metropolis. However, he said that it was sad that there was no waste management even after the election results.
